- The responsibilities of our Software & Support Engineer include but are not limited to:
- Comprehensive understanding of how IT works
- Able to write scripts in PowerShell, Bask or Python
- End-user support
- Intermediate systems and network troubleshooting
- Escalating issues with vendors
- Installing, Moving, Adding, and Changing computers and other hardware

Software And Support Engineer Compensation:
$60,000 – $80,000 Starting Salary

Required experience for Software And Support Engineer:
- At least 1-year of experience with writing scripts
- Desktop operating systems (Microsoft Windows 7 – 10)
- Familiar with basic Active Directory management (Creating, updating deleting, and managing users and resources in an Active Directory)
- Professional Services Automation tools like AutoTask or Connectwise
- RMM Tools such as LogMeIn, Datto or N-Able
- Basic understanding of network and security fundamentals
- Working knowledge of collaboration technologies such as Microsoft Exchange
- Automation and package creation/deployment technologies
- Installation and configuration of Anti-virus solutions
- Deployment and configuration of print devices
- Remote monitoring and troubleshooting tools
- Consulting guidance and recommendations on topics such as networking, performance tuning, administration, security, and remote monitoring
- Effectively communicating project status, activities, and findings in oral and written formats
- Working closely with our sales team and the customer to identify business and technology needs and assist with architecting the solution
- High attention to detail
- Verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work professionally and efficiently with autonomy
- Good problem-solving skills
- Ability to self-manage and properly prioritize tasks
- Reliable transportation and a New York State Driver’s License
- Preferred experience (not required):
- Knowledge of on-prem active directories
- Ability to upgrade domain controllers
- Use and troubleshooting of virtualization technologies (VSphere, Horizon View, VMWare Unified Access Gateway)
- Knowledge of OSI model
- Familiarity with modern and legacy DNS paradigms
- Solid understanding of TCP/IP, IPv4, and IPv6
