This October, ATEC Group was thrilled to hold an office food drive to benefit The Food Pantries for The Capital District! We created a fall-themed “Giving Cubicle”, collected donations from our generous employees, and were able to donate many boxes of non-perishable food and personal care items to this wonderful local organization.
The Food Pantries for The Capital District
The Food Pantries for The Capital District were founded in 1979 by the Urban Ministries Fellowship, a committee of the Capital Area Council of Churches. They started with 10 member food pantries and have grown into an impressive coalition of more than 60 food pantries in Albany, Rensselaer, Saratoga, and Schenectady Counties.
In addition to collecting food and supplies for their pantries, The Food Pantries for The Capital District also works with local organizations to host volunteer events including Capital Region CANstruction, the Capital District Food Summit, The City of Albany City-Wide Food Drive, and much more!
Giving Back This Holiday Season
Volunteering is an important part of our corporate culture here at ATEC Group, and our team genuinely enjoys giving back to local organizations. We’ll be donating our time at the Food Bank of Northeastern NY this November and we can’t wait to help out!
