Job Summary:
This individual will be assigned to the Infrastructure Management Solutions (IMS) Division of ATEC Group (Formerly GSS InfoTech) and will be selling Consulting, Infrastructure, Storage, and Virtualization services in the North East. With support from Marketing this person will be responsible for achieving sales goals, developing a robust pipeline and identifying market opportunities to exploit.

This successful candidate will be a proven sales leader with exceptional relationship development skills coupled with a history of consistent quota achievement selling complex solutions within a highly competitive environment.

Responsibilities Include:
Working with the ATEC Group sales and marketing function to identify opportunities, working with the vendor partners and marketing to position ATEC Group solutions developing a sales strategy, then identify, qualify, and close opportunities.

This position will cover the Albany/Upstate New York territory.

Successful Candidate Attributes:
• 7+ years of prominent, large account management experience
• Considerable experience selling services for Infrastructure Solutions at a senior decision-maker level
• Detailed, measurable experience in negotiating contracts
• Demonstrates advanced knowledge and practice of the Integrated Sales Cycle
• Knowledgeable of products and services relating to Data Center Solutions, Virtualization, Virtual Desktop, Storage and Backup

The successful Sr. Systems Engineer candidate will have field experience working with the following technologies:

• VMware Horizon Suite

Responsibilities (include but not limited to):
• Installing, configuring, and upgrading network operating systems and applications using standard industry best practices
• Installing, configuring, and supporting servers, computers, network hardware, and peripheral devices (such as switches/routers/firewalls and related hardware)
• Network Administration (i.e. account management, Active Directory support, data backups)
• Analyzing, diagnosing, and troubleshooting hardware and software problems
• Communicating with client (and internal) end user and management groups regarding infrastructure design, maintenance, and administration
• Using initiative, independent judgment, and established procedures to address client needs
• Organizing work, setting priorities, and meeting critical time deadlines
• Accurately designing and documenting client infrastructures
• Completing assigned projects and support tickets while accurately recording time and activities

This position will also require working closely with our sales team and the customer to identify business and technology needs and assist with architecting the solution. Consulting guidance and recommendations on topics such as networking, capacity planning, performance tuning, administration, security, and remote monitoring will be required. Effectively communicating project status, activities and findings in oral and written formats is also required. This position would be located out of Albany office.

Job Summary:  

We are seeking bright, articulate, and self-motivated candidates who have a desire to break into networking solutions including hardware, software and services sales. Selected candidates will have a strong work ethic and enthusiasm that demonstrates initiative and professionalism. Our account sales development representatives are responsible for a targeted territory’s lead generation, including securing appointments with new customers, legacy customers, and marketing campaigns.   The starting salary is $30,000 annually, plus bonus/commission.  This is an excellent opportunity for the right individual, as this could develop into a large role within the organization.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the central point of contact for the assigned territory to drive new business opportunities through lead generation
  • Collect prospective customer data and generate appointments for the field sales teams through cold-calling activities
  • Achieve weekly/monthly/quarterly metric goals through outbound calling efforts and new qualified appointments
  • Attend trade shows in their territory as well as take the lead on all promotions and campaigns
  • This is an excellent entry level role to break into hardware and software sales where you will gain a great background in the Secured Network space.

This position will be located in our Albany New York office.

Successful Candidate Attributes:

  • Business experience preferably in a Customer centric sales support role
  • Ability to make 90+ outbound phone calls per day
  • A strong desire to pursue a career in Sales utilizing Consultative Sales techniques
  • BS/BA preferred
  • Interest and knowledge of software/hardware technologies preferred
  • Experience with Computer Networking technologies a bonus
  • Possess energetic and enthusiastic demeanor
  • 1-2 years Sales experience is desired
